Granite Park and Sperry Reservations

Just wanted to mention for those who are doing some advanced planning for next year that I understand that reservations for Granite Park Chalet and Sperry Chalet will not be taken until sometime in January 2016. This is a change from the prior practice when reservations opened in October. I assume this will be confirmed on their website in the coming weeks.

It does say on their web page that reservations for 2016 will be made late October 2015

We stayed at Granite Park last weekend and were told by the staff that reservations for 2016 could be made beginning January 2016 for both Granite Park and Sperry.

So there should be a vacancy showing up for the 9th and 10th this morning.

Pete,

You have a great spirit so hang in there. You certainly have done a lot of wonderful hikes this year and I hope you can get to Sperry next year.

You and I have had one thing in common this year - we have both ended up cancelling chalet reservations (mine at Granite Park and yours at Sperry). Considering what marvelous places they are, it is not a pleasant thing to cancel a reservation at either one but sometimes you just have to take what life hands you and hope for better days ahead.

The Sperry and Granite Park Chalet websites now indicate that reservations for 2016 will open on January 11, 2016.
