Re: Siyeh Bend to Piegan Pass to Jackson Glacier Overlook

Thanks, Excellent! Great info about the ptarmigans! looking at photos you may be right that is extra special... possible the marmots wanted to eat the chicks, i have heard they might have been just chasing them away from the grasses they both like but seems very probable they would eat a tiny chick,...

Some start at Siyeh bend, go over Siyeh pass and down to Sunrift Gorge, seemed like most of the few hikers we saw we...

Did the 2018 Howe Ridge fire affect the Fish Creek Campground?
fortunately like the last big fire near there it was also east of the campground by a few miles so no damage.

Fish Creek Campground notes and video

We thoroughly enjoyed Fish Creek Campground, stayed for 3 nights at 2 different campsites. It looked like some of the families there didn't even leave the CG area it is so nice... It seemed like the sites on the outer side of the loops had a little more privacy than the inner parts of the loops. For...

Re: Gear Rental??

i imagine most people carry telescoping trekking poles they can travel with these days, but since we normally use giant hiking sticks that were not great for air travel we got dollar store mops in Whitefish. The handles worked well for hiking sticks, like little trekking poles... gave them to some f...

Re: An improper use of bear spray

oh gosh// i could show you some VERY improper use of bear spray if you want./// i attended one of our Berkeley riots for the purpose of filming these idiots in action// i didn't get hit directly but EVeryone got covered in pepper. Pretty surreal scene when people start unleashing that stuff on crowds.
